Business + Marketing > First Attemp with SS
Well done Chris, clean and simple.
I'm a self employed computer geek who's been designing and writing applications in just about every computer language and platform known to mankind.
I've never done any web development until a few weeks ago when I too discovered Sqaurespace. I can't shake geekdom's 3 letter acronyms, but the IDE (integrated development environment) provided has made the task of launching a web site pretty darn easy for the newbies like you and me.... and exploring other user's results, reading posts, there's tremendous potential to build the most sophisticated sites with the tools.
I hope this is just the beginning for Squarespace. I too am raving about the setup. Developing computer applications has been made a lot easier with better "toolkits". We site development just got easier! Deb Davis posted a set of plug-ins for Firefox (all for free) that really give the developer, or those entrepreneurs without deep pockets some kick-ass tools to put some sizzle into attracting business.
www.rbanderson.com ... my simple start, but I've got plans!
Cheers,
@Chris,
Nice job on your first Squarespace site! Too bad we don't live anywhere near you because my husband always loves a nice detailing job :-)
Just a few details I noticed:
+ Looks like the font sizes on your "Cleaning" section is smaller than the rest of your website
+ In Services, you have your type/copy aligned center. It feels hard to read for me.
+ Title Tags: You might consider putting some words like Auto Detailing : Brisbane : Gold Coast
Some things to ponder anyway.
@Robin
Glad you found that list of Firefox Development tools helpful.
@Deb,
Good read on Chris' work... and it's so easy to make the changes :) Feedback from this community is quite inciteful and most appreciated. Your suggestions about identifying your location apply to me too!

Hey Chris,
I like the site, i was just gonna ask you guys on the best way to create a banner (easy i know to most of you) but im just venturing into this arena and have no expertise in web design etc although i have worked in the iT area for many years. Its always been from an ioperations and support point of view. This is kind of a hobby and expanding my skillset and the sametime.
So any advice on good packages free or otherwise on how to add some colour and uniqueness to my site would be welcomed.
Thanks
Will

Im new here and would like to say thanks for all the help so far.
I have only ever done one site before this and it took me so much longer and didnt look nearly as good.
I am a self employed car detailer so this was a challenge to say the least, I am hooked though and find myself telling everyone about SS.
Thanks Square space,
Here is my attempt, feel free to comment
