Business + Marketing > Non geek girl needs e-card and other advice!

Not sure if this is the right place to post because I guess it's half business + marketing and half design + coding.

Anyhow. I've just created a fairly simple SQSP site structure, but I want people to be able to go to a page and send an e-card from a selection available. That means they need to see a gallery, (no problem) select a card and add their own message and mail details, and then send it.

I'm do write code, but I'm not a super geek - too blonde for that! Does anyone know how I might achieve that?

It's for here: logicforgirls.com

Thanks for any help, but be warned, there are a whole bag of other SQSP questions to follow....

Okaaaay! So I guess this post sunk pretty quickly...

However, on the plus side, I have done some investigative surfing and found some interesting WebCard scripts. These (http://www.hotscripts.com) are PHP and this is within a Flash component - (http://www.flashcomponents.net)

So my question is; can I insert these into my SqSp website structure? Personally I'd prefer the Flash component, but with both I'm going to need server space to store images which are called when the script/componet is in action.

Or am I barking up totally the wrong tree.

In words Custer would have understood, help! Please.

Wow! Is that an echo in here?

Hi

PHP cannot be used in SQSP and so that could stump you right away as I believe (but don't quote me on this) that PHP would be needed for this type of application to run

Oh thanks Stu.... is there another way I can offer an e-card system on my site. It would be a shame to have to create a system/page that people go offsite to?

Thanks in advance for you're help....

You may want to try AddThis's free share button (http://www.addthis.com/). Post this script in the body of each page with the image, and users have the ability to send to their friends...sort of like an e-card app. One way to get around PHP.

Thanks Andrew, but I really need a dedicated e-card system.... amongst other things!

Seems SquareSpace is actually quite limited in what you can do, so wondering if the money couldn't be better spent on a platform that offers more options.... Like Wordpress!
