Features + System > Squarespace Wish List

Since this section of the forum is quickly becoming a wish list, I thought I'd just create a generic one.So...

Santa, please bring me a

copy file to (new location, existing location)
turn off Square palette graphics option
developer's subscription pass with storage options for temp sites
the ability to edit this forum when I sign in
iframe module for posting code in blogs

and a fuzzy pink pony! Thanks.

Id like

1. a way for users to be automatically subscribed for email updates of my blog entries
2. ability to import members

The ability to add Digg and similar links to the bottom of Journal entries automatically (like a check box perhaps?)

And a pony. And a plastic rocket.

Calendar. Please, please, please a calendar. And not just any calendar, a dope calendar like this one. http://mesa.cityofgrace.com/

Ooh, that could be done with a script we're already using!

I'd like a video gallery component that behaves similar to the picture gallery one currently... specifically playing video in a lightbox.

3. ability to also export members. duh.
4. make the admin have bigger text and fill the whole browser for crying out loud :) I find myself scrolling too much.

The same as Krystyn , except for the pony and rocket . Had both when I was a kid . :-)

i would love love love .....

+ e-commerce
+ a fabulous calendar tool
+ enable comments on photo gallery pages as well as plain html pages (ability to add comment functions anywhere and access most recent comments as widget type thing would be great!)
+ a way to integrate some other tools i use .. for example i like to use the slideshowpro.net flash slideshow and admin tools but i cannot install any software in my squarespace account. if i use slideshowpro (or other types of things) i have to keep two different seperate sites - i would love to have my squarespace interface for navigation and statistics purposes, with flash and various content embedded in the page modules where i can run tools such as slideshowpro. -- is there a way to embed content in a squarespace page that is actually hosted somewhere else so i can have it all?!

I would love to see a way to embed RSS feeds to replace my current use of Grazr.

@ sparrowco -

I have used slideshowpro for years with my squarespace sites. It is possible. You can't however use the slideshow pro admin app, for that requires some server tweaking.

@ Sparrowco,

Great list and good news is all on the menu. We are most focused on our new release right now but post that should start to work though your list, almost literally.

"is there a way to embed content in a squarespace page that is actually hosted somewhere else so i can have it all?!"

Would an iframe work? Again -- as Tyler is saying, you can use SSP in a page module without any issues.

Same as Enrique's wish wrt v.5. I'll settle for tomorrow - I'm not unreasonable. :)

Oh and an easy way to alternate layouts for specific pages within a site (ie. a site's blog that looks different from the rest of the site layout).
