Features + System > Public Registration Module

hello again - Sorry for all these posts :) but I have another question. I just noticed there was a "public registration" module - is this live somewhere I could see how it works as a user? I think folks would really like this feature .... Thank you - Sib

Sibyl,

Click the "Register" link in the sidebar. This is the public registration module in action :)

Hope that helps.

Thanks Tyler! I just tried the one here... I am not sure if this or just using the regular form functions would serve best-- the plus side of this one is for community interaction and the export to excel--- but what I really need is the export to excel only of the collected user data--- Can you configure the pub reg module for example: include an address, add fields etc... or no? Thanks so much for the help.

Sibyl,

You can't configure the pub reg module. Sorry.

It's 2010 now and we still can't customize the public registration.. why?!?!?!
I just upgraded so I can have public registration and it's so limited? this is so sad

Totally agree Peter, I am totally fed up with having to use expensive and clumsy workarounds to simply obtain the new members basic details, come on guys this has been requested so many times and is hardly a challenging feature compared to other bells and whistles you've added.

A user can add 20 odd social media addresses to an account but we can't extend the registration form by one field?

Seems crazy given the obvious marketing advantages for SS.

New user of the service, and I just hit the big limited user registration problem. Support tells me it still not a feature to edit. This is really a must have feature and shocking they have not added it.

I could really do with this feature also. If anyone has any 'workarounds' let me know. I specifically need a sign up form with the ability to add a promo code.

Thanks.
