Features + System > iPhone app

have any of you thought of doing an iPHone app for squarespace similar to what typepad has? I know we can technically email posts to squarespace but how about a simple app to approve comments, view traffic etc?

I was thinking the same thing so I tried the email thing instead today... blog never showed anything. I went to Typepad to test out the iPhone App. Very nice. Very little options in terms of formatting though and pretty mucho nothing else in terms of features.

I'd love a SS iPhone app as well. Great way to promote SS too!

It's being worked on! I want this too.

Davin is going full steam at this after V5. We had to pause it to get V5 operational and out the door.

an iPhone app that enables me to add blog entries and upload images would more than enough to convince me to pay up for a premium subscription to SS. At the moment I am trying out blogging on various platforms and have to say that SS has been the slickest, easiest for a begginer and beautiful looking tools around, but the cost is making me head towards a free alternative. The moment there is an iPhone app, however, Then my loyalty will lie entirely with SS.

Keep up the great work guys!

SquareSpace is a great tool. Really impressive work, but I really need to be able to blog from my iPhone. I hope I will see one soon in the AppStore!

This would be awesome! i would for sure move all my stuff over if i could edit from my phone

Also something that would allow me to access the statistics/data info of my site would be cool. Going through the safari browser on the iPhone is just too much trouble.

I've just subscribed and have to say, an iPhone application would be fantastic, or even a simplified webapp :)

Please could we close some of the gaps in the regular GUI/functionality first? Like thumbnailing?

Any news on the potential iPhone app (or any other outside app that might work)? I don't think we really need a ton of functionality, just something that would allow posting...

There already is a VERY good app that is able not only to post to Squarespace out of the box but to many platforms. It is called iBlogger... it is not free. I have been using it for a few weeks.

It allows editing of existing posts (raw html in this case).

You can of course add new entries and are able to add Categories, tags, links, location (physical location you are in) and of course images from the iPhone camera or your library. There are no style buttons so a little html knowledge is recommended.

The app so far has proven stable and useful.

I just downloaded iBlogger yesterday and so far I'm pleased with it. Although, with my current sites I don't know if I'll be doing a lot of posting while I'm mobile. I am interested in testing it with photos though. Maybe I can start a mobile photo journal on my site for fun.

We are still in production on our own iphone app. But in Squarespace style it will be perfect before release. Any fustrations you ave with other apps please share as well as things you would really like to see.

I'd like to see the Squarespace iPhone app have the landscape ability active on it. This would be an improvement on the Wordpress app who have done a pretty good job on the iPhone; it's simple to use and allows you to store drafts locally or publish straight from the phone. I know Squarespace can do it better... c'mon!
