Features + System > What is the Value in the $50/ month Public Registration Level?
Michael,
I signed up for the $50/month plan and tried to find a way to make it work. I ended up downgrading after a few months. I think it might not have worked because I just don't have enough active readers at this point to get it going. I thought I could start creating a community by make certain things "exclusive" or by changing my comment sections so you had to have an account with the site to comment, but it just didn't make sense.
It's easy to upgrade and downgrade so you could always give your ideas a try.

Thanks for posting that Sarah, that's exactly the kind of real life input that I was looking for.
I find there can be quite a gap between features as described, and real world implementation that either adds real value to an audience, or doesn't. The proof is in the results so I think everyone can benefit by understanding how someone else has created a solution that works.
I'm wondering if anyone has had good success using those features in their business, to the point that justifies the cost. And if they are having success, what techniques made it a success.
Is it possible to have members pay for a subscription to gain access to exclusive content?

I'm curious what the value is in using the Public Registration Level for a Squarespace site? I understand the description of what one pays for at the highest level, but I'm not sure I "get" how that translates into helping a business in the real world. Is this Squarespace Community setup for Public registration and if yes, what am I missing by my not being "registered"?
At $20 more per month than the business level, it's quite a bump in monthly cost. It would be quite helpful to hear how other companies have specifically implemented the Public registration features to help their business, and how that has played out in real terms (not merely describing the features). Does the added value/ cost relationship deliver? What types of companies use this feature?
