Features + System > Forwarding emails to post automatically

Hi All,

I would like to use the post via email function to enable others to post to a journal. I did not want to publish the squarespace email address (eg. post.mysite.secretword@squarespace.com), but instead set up a new email address with an autoforward to the squarespace address. eg. post@mysite.com forwards to mysite.secretword@squarespace.com. However, this fails to publish the post. Squarespace indicate I must use the squarespace address, however, I would prefer to have an address with my domain name in it.

Does anyone have an idea why this does not work? I am told by support that I must use the squarespace address, however, I would have expected a forwarded email to work as well. Anyone out there know a reason why this should not work, and a possible fix?

I am looking for the exact same functionality. I may have to bite the bullet and just accept the current state of affairs myself. :(
Thank you for posting about forwarding, I was about to try this and now I know it doesn't work.

If i find something out I will post it!
