Features + System > Adwords and Affiliate Marketing???
Did you contact tech support? If so, what did they say?
BTW -- BOO!!!
I was using Adsense on a site that I decided not to continue, but I can tell you that it definitely worked.
Using Adsense
Go to your Adsense account and get the code for the adblock you want to add. Open up the text/html widget, blog post, page, header section etc that you want to put it in. Go to the drop down in the top right and switch to Raw HTML. Then paste in the code. OR select the little box near the left that looks like it has a gear in it and paste the code into the box that pops up. This inserts html into you what you see is what you get view. You may have to wait an hour or so for Google to realize it's there and actually start showing ads instead of a blank space.
Affiliate marketing
If you're sending someone via text then you just add a link the same way you add a non-affiliate link, it just has the extra bits in it so the owner knows the traffic comes from you. If you're trying to put in a graphical ad that the owner has made available to you then do the same thing as with Adsense. Switch to html mode or insert an html block and cut and paste the code there.
You can see an affiliate ad that I added in the footer of my site http://www.inventingelephants.com and there is a text affiliate link in the post Off Topic Business: Mine and Minds for the League of Extraordinary MInds.
What Beth said is right. It took me a little time to get it, but its been working fine for me for the past 5 months. For an example, I use Adwords... www.thenjunderground.com
Beth and TB,
Thanks for the replies. This was exactly what I was looking for.

Dave,
If you're still having trouble, the easiest way is to create an "HTML Text" sidebar widget. Click the HTML Source option and paste the AdWords (or competitor) code into the box, then save. After a little while you should start seeing ads targeted to the content on your page.
To use any 3rd party tools like this, you DO need to have some rudimentary HTML, enough to be able to paste raw code into a box. But it's not heavy lifting.

I've looked at probably 25 different examples shown on the EXAMPLES page and have found ZERO SS sites that appear to be using either Google Adwords or any type of affiliate marketing. I have also searched the forums and found very little if no information on how to use either.
I want to use SS because I don't have the time to try and develop a website on my own (full-time day job and g/f that isn't interested in the WWW), I don't want to mess with Wordpress or any of the other solutions that involve me having to setup the server settings, uploads, etc...and I don't have the cash to hire someone so it seems like SS would be the obvious solution. Problem is, after having gone through a couple of 2 week free trials, I still have not figured out how to implement, AM/SEO or Adwords within SS.
Can someone at the very least SHOW ME SOME EXAMPLES??????
Keeping my fingers crossed that this can be done without me having to become a CSS expert!!!
Thanks in Advance for any replies
