Occurs when a new contact is created on a Squarespace website — for example when a visitor subscribes, becomes a customer, or is created via the API. See the Contacts API for the full resource model.

Creating a contact with marketing acceptance triggers an extra event. When a contact is created with acceptsMarketing set to true, an additional contact.update event is emitted for the marketing change. Due to the asynchronous nature of webhooks, the contact.update may arrive before the contact.create. Integrators should handle receiving a contact.update for a contact that has not yet been seen via contact.create.
